God's Big Dream
The first thing God did to build my faith was to give me a dream. When God wants to work in your life, He usually gives you a revelation— about yourself, about what He wants you to do, about how He’s going to use your life to impact the world. There are many examples in the Bible of this:
- God gave Noah the dream of building an ark.
- God gave Abraham the dream of being the father of a great nation.
- God gave Joseph the dream of being a leader to save his people.
- God gave Nehemiah the dream of building the wall around Jerusalem.
How do you know when a revelation is from God or when it’s just something you’ve thought up yourself? The Bible tells us that God “by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes” (Ephesians 3:20 LB).
In other words, if it comes from God, it will be so big in your life that you can’t do it on your own. If you could do it on your own, you wouldn’t need faith. So God starts building your faith by giving you that vision in the first place. And that vision you have… the idea or concept you’ve been thinking about doing that would be of REAL BENEFIT to other people — where do you think that idea came from? God. Specifically, through His helper, the Holy Spirit.
And that is precisely what happened to me a couple of months ago. God gave me SUCH a big dream that it scared me initially and I tried to push it away and disregard it. “This can’t be from the Holy Spirit” is what I first thought because I have no way of making this dream happen. I don’t even have the skills to complete these tasks! But my vision continued to linger whenever I would spend time with God and it continued to press upon my spirit until I gathered up the courage to simply obey. And because I knew this dream would change women’s lives forever (and that I could NOT do this on my own) I realized this is EXACTLY how God works and how He wants to use me. So I stepped out in faith and started asking questions of the people that the Holy Spirit told me to specifically approach."
This was pretty scary at first because the people that God called me to ask for help were all people that I either had no previous relationship with or were people that I had a very limited personal relationship with. And that is how I knew this WAS God’s dream - He kept confirming me and making things happen when I was obedient and just started stepping out in FAITH to simply ASK on His behalf.
So here is the dream… a dream I could have never envisioned on my own. And let me add that it is God who is orchestrating this event and making this all this happen, none of this is from me. I am nothing on my own, but with God, ANYTHING is possible. "God is putting together all the pieces of the puzzle to make this dream a reality and I am in awe of the LOVE that Jesus has for ALL of the women who will chose to participate on November 23rd."
Are you being called to work on this puzzle with me and to build your own faith in the process? I pray that all of you will consider joining me to see how God’s dream comes to fruition in Jesus’ Holy Name! My dream is a specific EVENT that the Holy Spirit nudged me to “spark” but not to control or fret over the details. And this event is happening in just three short weeks so I am reaching out to ALL of you to help me make this dream come ALIVE.
Here are the details:
This WOMEN ONLY interactive worship event will feature Christian worship leaders Beth Benda (Christian Hills Church) and Julia Magagnotti (Living Stones Fellowship Church). In addition to singing and praising God, there will be two powerful testimonial messages led by Jenny Spontak and Jessica Olivito. A special night you won't want to miss! After this event, you will NEVER be the same.
The intention for this event is simple: to corporately worship God in UNITY (across denominational lines) and to simply broaden women's knowledge about the Holy Spirit in general. This event is a perfect way to introduce new and mature believers alike to the full power of the Holy Spirit. "This event is for EVERYONE who desires more out of life and not just for certain types of christians. Every person is so special to God - more than they will ever know!"
So here are the players so far:
Worship leader Beth Benda has a deep love for God, people and music. She grew up in an Assemblies of God church where she developed a deep passion for church music. After attending Evangel University, God called her to Florida where she realized her calling as a worship leader. In 2002, God called Beth back to the Chicago area and then to Christian Hills Church, where she now serves as their Worship Pastor. Beth’s heart is to bring people to the heart of God, to help them understand His love, His mercy and the freedom and power of worshiping Him.
At only 18 years old, Julia Magagnotti is leading worship at Living Stones Fellowship Church, in Crown Point, IN and is an accomplished pianist and vocalist. At 10 years old, Julia started playing piano by ear and writing her own instrumental pieces. Soon thereafter, Julia began studying music offered through SOWA (School Of Worship Arts) through her home church where she also received her prayer language. After several years of intense training with worship leaders, Julia was invited to lead worship for her church’s youth program and perform backup vocals on Sunday mornings. At 16, Julia was called to lead Sunday morning service at her home church, Living Stones Fellowship Church. Then last year, with a deeper desire to broaden her knowledge of the Holy Spirit, Julia began technically refining her skills through Bethel School of Worship in Redding, CA, where she plans to attend their Supernatural Ministry program next fall. Julia continues to receive coaching from spiritual mentors and worship pastors, Fred and Andrea Butson of Valparaiso, IN where they collaborated to co-write and record original songs (not yet released to public). As Julia continues to refine her vocal and songwriting strengths, she feels called to lead worship experiences. Leading worship is Julia's true passion and she works earnestly to show others how they can experience the fullness of God’s love. Julia’s primary goal is to show others how they can glorify God through all kinds of worship, beyond singing songs at a church service. Julia is on thankful for all God has done to utilize her musical talents and prays her relationship with Christ brings encouragement and truth to all those whom she encounters through music.
Jenny Spontak & Jessica Olivito are just two everyday women from the SW Chicago suburbs that are on FIRE for Christ and that the Holy Spirit called to testify about their personal experiences in connection with the power of the Holy Spirit. They will be sharing powerful testimonies about their past “mess” and how the Holy Spirit specifically helped them to achieve healing, transformation and restoration.
The Sozo Group is simply a collaborative of professional Christian women who choose to DONATE our unique talents and time in order to further advance God's kingdom. They philanthropically provide support to all those interested in achieving "SOZO" which involves protecting the mind, healing the body, and delivering the soul.
We hope that you will consider participating in this dream, as we know it pleases God immensely when we come together in unity to advance His kingdom.
